Position: Director, technology, Web, digital media &

Estate Vernon, the home of the historic George Washingtons seeks professional for real estate in the national library in the future study of George Washington. Objective of position is lead to workplace information technology (IT) and new initiatives for the estate and library media.

2013 new facility opens in Vernon to foster Fellowship at George Washington. National Library of the State of art is located adjacent to the historic estate in Vernon. The incumbent will be responsible for creating new media has the same vision and plan for the library. The incumbent will be a whole gamut of professional research technologies, Internet, new media exhibition audio-visual, knowledge management, computer support activities. Vernon National Library has a philosophy IT uses focused, mission-focused, so he should allow the traditional work of scholarship, public service, and make new types of research, discovery and community. Creative and effective distribution of various initiatives is critical constituencies focus location.

Major responsibilities include:

-Planning and policy

-Web, new media

-It, knowledge management

-Monitoring of staff and projects

-Budgeting

Skills include:
Skill management plan, management and supervision of employees in a distributed computing environment involving multiple facilities and various disciplinary requirements

Flow with the current social media expert and other electronic content delivery of the mighty

Knowledge of the development, use, integration and support of Web applications and software

Knowledge of communication standards and protocols such as architecture and network; Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as the "C" language, Java, PERL, Basic

Experience with Drupal content management system the Unix shell environment

Proven communication skills to establish, negotiate coordinate technology requirements and solutions; Must be able to adapt and respond to users with different levels of computer literacy

Ability to manage conflicting requirements providing a high level of customer service

Ability to effectively allocate resources under budget constraints
