Indian judge alleges pressure BJP

Correspondents say the BJP appears reluctant to act against Mr Yeddyurappa, which is influential Lingayat community. His departure from his post could bring down the only party in the South of the India rule.

The issue is very embarrassing for the BJP, after months on the offensive against the ruling party in the Congress of the India, which in turn became embroiled in a series of damaging corruption scandals.
