'Five dead' in the U.S. skating rink

July 24, 2011, updated at 05: 13 GMT map at least five people have been killed and three wounded in a gunfight at a birthday party of roller skating rink in the State of Texas, U.S., police said.

The shooting occurred after a discussion broke out on the party in the city of Grand Prairie, near Dallas.

The gunman is one of the dead, who was shot after opening fire on his fellow guests, police said.

Details of the incident are sketchy, but police say that the row was a "false between husband and wife".

"Seems to be a domestic situation, at this point," spokesman for police in Reuters Steve Dye telling news agency quotes. "It is our initial finding.""And it seems that the suspect died from a self-inflicted gun wound".

According to police who received a call about the massacre in Roller World Forum shortly after 1900 local time Saturday (0200 GMT Sunday) and responded immediately.

Witnesses described to see people fleeing from the track in panic as the gunman opened fire.

The guests of the aggrieved party were taken to the hospital and there was no immediate information on their status.
