Web Manager at PTC (Massachusetts)

Web StrategyThe Web Manager will become part of an experienced Interactive team and in house
agency, and will support PTCs websites. The Web Manager facilitates the technical
and content objectives for web projects. The Web Manager is responsible for scoping projects, communicating with the requestor and the development teams, and managing projects from inception through completion. The Web Manager directs the execution of new creative ideas, troubleshoots a variety of issues relating to content management tools/processes, tracking tools, pre-production and test servers and systems, and general Web site issues. The Web Manager participates in, and directs long-term projects related to the PTC websites.

Responsibilities:
Oversee staff of web developers, both in the U.S. and Shanghai, China
Maintain and enhance Web content (both static and dynamic pages)
Assist in QA for new and existing web pages
Project manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple internal customers; prioritize those projects and oversee their entire project lifecycle
Interface with internal customers and offer guidance and a strategy to best execute their web projects on PTCs websites
Develop, maintain and advocate for Web design standards and practices on PTC.com
Work with an ever-present localization and translation mindset, always keeping in mind the PTC.com global audience
Write technical specifications and communicate technical ideas to IT staff, internal customers, team members and senior management
Work with internal (homegrown) content management system. Identify needs within that system, develop requirements for enhancements, and provide support to Web Development team based on those
enhancements.
Uphold and maintain domain strategy for the company
Maintain and enhance supporting technologies, including but not limited to: CMS, Adobe SiteCatalyst, FinalCut Server, Flowplayer, WordPress, and more
Coordinate, monitor and oversee robust site statistics and deploy strategies for improvement and optimization based on those statistics
Execute split testing and multivariate testing across campaign assets when appropriate
Conduct usability testing with a global audience
Evolve the websites with an eye toward adding social tools for content sharing
Review and edit web content keeping a content marketing approach in mind
Maintain, adapt and evolve a global SEO strategy, including content marketing approaches to maintain and boost SEO results
Work as part of a large internal agency while also working closely with outside
agencies

Requirements:
BA or BS Degree
Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience, preferably in B2B
2-4 years experience as a people manager
Comfortable working in Windows, UNIX, Mac development environments
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and listening skills
Strengths in web design, user experience and information architecture
Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to work within a team environment and learn quickly
Experience in developing interactive strategies
Strong knowledge of interactive best practices
Experience managing interactive direct response projects such as email, microsites,
banners, SEM, and social applications
Proven project management skills
Experience executing test plans across mixed platforms and browsers
Understanding of HTML, HTML5, Flash, Java, JavaScript, XML
Excellent time management, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Excellent oral and written communication skills
International Travel required

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
2 years of people management experience
