Community Manager and Evangelist

for an ambitious and innovative internal start-up project to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area

Goal

Ensure the successful launch and organic growth of the product (online community) in the U.S. market, managing all activities required for achieving the objective in collaboration with the web team and all functions involved at HQ level.

Responsibilities

- Marketing: contributes to the creation of the US launch plan, selects and coordinates partners (e.g. web/PR agencies), organizes plan implementation and monitors key performance indicators;
- Online PR: identifies potential advocates / influencers and builds relationships with them online and offline to increase the number of those who participate and contribute to the community, works with local PR agencies, ensures that advocates / influencers feel part of project, uses social media channels to connect with the community user base;
- Community Management: ensures that the communitys organic growth is as fast as possible and that members comply with the communitys participation policy, listens to and understands the specific needs of US user base, sends constructive feedback to HQ for rapid product development and develops a first class user experience;
- Partnerships & Biz Dev: identifies technology, content and business partners for win-win relationships in line with the projects growth and business goals.

Experience and Personal Skills

- at least 3 years of experience in online marketing / social media
- specific experience with the launch of online products and services is a plus
- understanding of the potential of web technologies (e.g. web services, web 2.0, distributed applications)
- experienced with marketing and online communications
- experienced with online metrics
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work independently
- self-motivated and result-oriented
- passion for the web
- passion for a healthy lifestyle and wellness is a great plus
